JennAir is Whirlpool’s luxury line, and JennAir ovens use electronic controls, cooling fans and sensors that are closely related to KitchenAid and Whirlpool designs. Our technicians, with more than 30 years of combined experience and over 10,000 appliance repairs behind the company, test the control, the fans and the supply power before anything is ordered, and on JennAir ovens those three account for most of what we fix.
1. No heat, or won’t hold temperature
In October 2025 a JennAir wall oven had no heat, and a new control board fixed it. In April 2026 a JennAir double oven wasn’t holding the right temperature on bake, and we went through its control board and wiring. In June 2025 a JennAir oven stopped working altogether.
2. Control boards and cooling fans
JennAir wall ovens use cooling fans to protect the electronics, and the control won’t run the oven if a fan is too slow. In August 2026 a JennAir built-in double oven wouldn’t start; it needed two new cooling fans and a new control board. In December 2025 a JennAir showed F2E1, and in January 2026 we were called to another JennAir oven with an error code.

3. Power supply problems and F9
JennAir lists F9 and F9 E0 as a miswired outlet or connection. In October 2026 a JennAir range had problems with its bake element and igniter, and when we measured the supply we found 110 volts between the two hot legs and none between one leg and neutral. The wiring feeding the range needed an electrician before the range itself could be properly judged.
4. Doors and gas burners
In January 2026 a JennAir oven door wasn’t closing properly. In August 2025 a JennAir gas range needed all five burner holders replaced with new screws after the old screws had snapped. In October 2025 one burner on a JennAir range had stopped working.

Before you call: three quick checks
- Reset the power. JennAir suggests turning off the breaker for one minute, then back on.
- Check for Sabbath mode or control lock before assuming the oven has failed.
- Listen for the cooling fan when the oven is on. If it’s silent or struggling, the control may shut the oven down.

Fans, igniters, elements, latches and burner parts are reasonable repairs on a JennAir. Control boards cost more, and some are out of stock, so we check availability and give you an honest repair-versus-replace number.
