LG ranges are a growing share of our oven work. Our technicians, with more than 30 years of combined experience and over 10,000 appliance repairs behind the company, repair LG gas and electric ranges, double-oven ranges, induction ranges and wall ovens. The LG oven repairs we do most often are igniters behind F9, electrical contacts behind F19, convection fans, burner switches, and main control and relay boards.

1. Oven not heating: F9 and F19
LG lists F9 as the upper oven not heating properly. In September 2024 an LG gas oven that sometimes showed F9 needed a new igniter; in December 2025 another LG gas oven showed F9 and would not heat; and in June 2026 an F9 oven that would not get hot was fixed with new parts top and bottom. In July 2026 an LG with an igniter fault needed a new bake igniter.

LG lists F19 as an oven heating error. In November 2025 an LG wall oven with F19 was not heating, and a new electrical contact fixed it. In December 2025 the lower oven of another LG with F19 would not heat.
2. Control boards, relay boards and power
In February 2024 an LG oven with a sensor problem needed a new main control board and relay board, in May 2024 an LG stove with a burner problem needed a new control board, and in March 2025 an LG oven that stopped working needed one as well. In January 2026 an LG range with burner problems needed a new relay board. In November 2025 we replaced a filter board with two fuses and a safety thermostat in an LG oven.

Always check the supply. In September 2025 an LG induction range would not work because its outlet delivered only 120 volts; the range needs 240.
3. Convection fans: F7 and noise
LG lists F7 as an upper convection fan error, and we were called to an LG oven with F7 in October 2025. In June 2025 an LG oven needed a new convection heating element, relay control board and convection fan. In July 2025 an LG convection fan stopped although its resistance and the board’s voltage were normal; reconnecting it solved the problem. In December 2025 a noisy LG convection fan needed a new motor.

4. Burners and switches
In December 2024 LG burners that ran too hot needed new switches, in February 2025 an LG stove needed a new burner and warming zone, and in October 2025 a right front burner needed a new switch. In February 2026 an LG center burner that lit on only one side just needed a thorough cleaning.

Before you call: three quick checks
- Press Clear/Off and retry. LG recommends this first for most F-codes.
- Cycle the breaker. Turn it off for 30 seconds and back on if the code returns.
- Check the power or gas supply. An electric or induction range needs a 240-volt outlet; a gas range needs its supply valve fully open.
Repair or replace?
Igniters, switches, contacts, fans and fuses are inexpensive repairs on LG ranges. Main and relay boards cost more, so on an older range we give you an honest repair-versus-replace number. Either way, you get a written quote before any work starts, and the $99 service call is waived if you go ahead with the repair.

Frequently Asked Questions
LG lists F9 as the upper oven not heating properly. On the LG gas ranges we repair, F9 has most often come down to a worn igniter.
LG lists F19 as an oven heating error. In our experience a burnt electrical contact or a failed element is a common cause.
LG lists F7 as an upper convection fan error. Press Clear/Off and retry, then cycle the breaker; if it returns, the fan, its motor or connections need service.
Check the power first. In September 2025 an LG induction range would not work because its outlet supplied only 120 volts instead of 240.
The service call is $99 and is waived if you go ahead with the repair. You get a written quote for parts and labor before we start.
