A Viking range is built heavy, and most of its failures are the parts that wear with heat: oven igniters, bake and broil burners, spark switches and modules, thermostats and temperature sensors, door gaskets and hinges. Our technicians, with more than 30 years of combined experience and over 10,000 appliance repairs behind the company, work on Viking ranges across the Denver metro, from 30-inch ranges to large Professional models with a grill or griddle.

1. Oven won’t ignite or heat
On a Viking gas oven, the bake and broil igniters have to glow hot enough to open the gas valve. When they weaken, the oven heats slowly, then not at all. In October 2024 a Viking range needed new spark igniters and two oven igniters. In November 2024 a Viking oven that stopped working needed a new broil burner and igniter. In March 2026 a Viking oven that wouldn’t heat up needed two new oven igniters, and in October 2026 another Viking that wasn’t heating needed a new bake igniter.

2. Not heating correctly, or too hot
In May 2025 a Viking wall oven that wasn’t heating needed a new oven temperature sensor. In November 2025 a Viking oven that wasn’t heating correctly needed a new thermostat. In June 2026 a Viking oven was heating too much; an oven that overshoots its setting is checked at the sensor, the thermostat and the wiring that feeds them.

Viking oven not heating, or a burner won’t light? Call 720-230-1229. We answer 24/7 and can usually be there the same or next day.
3. Door glass, gaskets and hinges
Viking oven doors are heavy, and the hinges and gaskets carry that weight through years of heat cycles. In February 2025 a Viking range needed a new door glass pack and rope gasket. In June 2026 we took a Viking oven door off to repair its hinges. A door that won’t close flat leaks heat and makes the oven slow and uneven.
4. Cooktop burners and igniters
In September 2026 a Viking needed two new burners and two new igniters, plus a new igniter for the rear right cooktop burner. In June 2026 one burner on a Viking cooktop had stopped working. A burner that clicks without lighting usually has a wet or dirty igniter or a misaligned burner cap; one that never clicks points to the spark switch or module.

Before you call: three quick checks
- Watch the igniter. If it glows for more than a minute and the burner doesn’t light, the igniter is probably weak.
- Dry and reseat the burner caps if a cooktop burner clicks but won’t light.
- Check the door. If it doesn’t close flat or the gasket is torn, the oven will heat slowly and unevenly.
Repair or replace?
Igniters, burners, sensors, thermostats, gaskets and hinges are well worth repairing on a Viking range, which is built to last decades. Spark modules and control parts cost more, and we give you an honest repair-versus-replace number on older units. Either way, you get a written quote before any work starts, and the $99 service call is waived if you go ahead with the repair.
