1. Not cooling
In October 2024 a JennAir that wasn’t cooling needed a new inverter board, which drives its variable-speed compressor. In June 2024 a JennAir freezer stopped working, and in August 2025 we were called to a JennAir that wasn’t cooling properly.
2. Frost and defrost problems
When a JennAir’s defrost system fails, frost covers the evaporator and the fresh food section warms up. In April 2025 a JennAir that wasn’t cooling needed a defrost and a new freezer heating element. In September 2025 a JennAir French door wasn’t cooling; we defrosted the evaporator and tested the bimetal sensor and heater, which were both fine. In October 2025 a JennAir freezer that wasn’t cooling needed a forced defrost, an adjustment of its tilt, and a new freezer door gasket.

3. Compressors, boards and odd smells
In January 2026 a JennAir owner noticed a burning smell, and after checking the electrical parts we found no fault. If you notice a burning smell, unplug the refrigerator and have it checked.
4. Ice makers and water dispensers
Ice makers are the most frequent JennAir refrigerator repair we do. In April 2026 a JennAir ice maker was making ice in big blocks and needed a new ice maker assembly. In May 2026 a JennAir freezer ice maker that had always given trouble finally stopped when the water line broke off the ice tray; we replaced the ice maker assembly and its front cover. That same month we replaced the ice maker inside the fresh food section of a panel-ready JennAir French door.
In February 2025 the water dispenser of a JennAir French door had always dribbled out just a little water, even with a new filter. In July 2025 we repaired a JennAir undercounter ice maker that had stopped making ice.
